Automotive technician

Qualifications:

  • Automotive Technician experience: 3-7 years
  • ASE Certification is a plus
  • Technical degree is a plus
  • Drivability/Diagnostics
  • Have full body mobility
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time with your hands above your head
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Must have own tools, a locking tool box and ability to use the tools
  • Honest and great work ethic
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employement drug test

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, air conditioning, etc.
  • Provide correct estimates on vehicles for automotive repairs
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors
  • Preform basic care and maintenance including oil changes, and tire rotations
  • Repair (disassemble and reassemble parts) vehicles in the allotted time as estimated
  • Keep the shop clean, organized and presentable
  • Use testing equipment to ensure repairs and maintenance are effective
  • Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment
  • Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined

Oil/lube technician

Qualifications:

  • Lube tech experience: 1 year
  • Tire experience: 1 year
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Honest and great work ethic
  • Good time management on the job
  • Punctual
  • Self starter
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time with your hands above your head
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willing to undergo a background check
  • Willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities/duties:

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Changing oil and filters on vehicles in a timely manner
  • Change/rotate tires on vehicles in a timely manner
  • Keeping the oil change area/shop clean
  • Organizing/restocking oil filters and other shop supplies

May also be required to:

  • Perform seasonal duties, inside and outside the shop
  • Detail/wash lot vehicles
